Tears and yearning: Farooq Azam (RA) encounters a Prophet's devotee

Hazrat Zaid bin Aslam (RA) narrated from Hazrat Farooq Azam (RA):

One night, he went out to serve the people. He saw a light lit in a house and an old woman spinning wool, immersed in grief and separation, reciting these verses:

Upon the Prophet (SAW), peace from all believers in Allah, and from all the pious too. He was one who spent much of the night in remembrance of Allah, and wept at the time of Suhoor. 

Alas! The causes of death are many, would that I could be certain that on the Day of Judgment I would be granted the nearness of the Master (SAW).

Upon hearing these verses, Hazrat Farooq Azam (RA) was involuntarily reminded of his Master (SAW) and he burst into tears. The author of the biography writes:

He knocked on the door. The woman asked, 'Who is it?' He said, 'Umar bin Khattab.' The woman said, 'What is Umar doing here at this time of night?' He (RA) said, 'May Allah have mercy on you, open the door, you will not be in any trouble.' She opened the door, he went in and said, 'Recite again the verses you were just reciting.' When she recited the verses again, he said, 'Include me also in this blessed meeting and say, 'May Allah grant both of us the company of the Prophet (SAW) in the hereafter, and may He forgive Umar (RA), the forgiver.'
